It amazes me how much of my youth and adult years I've spent tramping around in the woods at one thing or another and yet so many of these birds I've been shooting here lately I've never actually seen before. It's not that I didn't know they were out there and I might have actually 'seen' them at one time or another, but I didn't really SEE them. Photography is a real eye-opener.
